Segway Rolls into Amsterdam and Establishes New European Office
“From our new European office we are able to serve all the European, Middle Eastern and African markets”
Segway, the world leader in electric personal transport, has opened a new European office in Amsterdam in order to better serve the EMEA region. The company markets a comprehensive range of iconic business-to-business Segway products, as well as new consumer products under the brand Ninebot by Segway.
Serving all EMEA markets
The new office will enable Segway Europe to serve these markets for the entire EMEA region by facilitating professional distribution, central management and increased marketing activities. President of Segway Europe, Dennis Hardholt, stated: “From our new European office we are able to serve all the European, Middle Eastern and African markets. We will immediately make a range of exciting new consumer products available that complement our existing line up.” He went on to add that the products answer a practical need for smart, green, personal short-distance transportation, as well as providing an added facet to leisure activities. In the coming months the company will launch two new mass-market Ninebot models: the Ninebot One S2 and Ninebot Mini Pro.
Segway Europe was founded by Beijing company Ninebot Ltd., combining the brands Segway and Ninebot – both prominent in electronic personal transportation. Ninebot acquired Segway in 2015 and both brands put a strong emphasis on R&D, design, manufacturing, sales and service of short-distance personal transportation devices. Both focus on seamlessly connecting robotic solutions to smart phones and integrating existing technologies and future concepts, such as voice interaction and facial recognition with robotic products.
Segway joins a growing number of companies that have chosen to establish offices in the Amsterdam area. The Segway Europe office was opened officially on 21 June 2016, in the presence of CEO, Lufeng Gao.
