AGRO Merchants Group Expands Rotterdam Facility
The BREEAM-certified facility will support the company’s fresh produce sector
Georgia-based AGRO Merchants Group has completed the expansion of its Rotterdam facility, run by its subsidiary, ADB Cool Company (ADB). The project represents a substantial investment in new equipment and technology that will enhance the company’s repacking capabilities.
Strategically located near the Port of Rotterdam, ADB’s expanded facility will support a growing customer base in the fresh produce sector. It was built to obtain BREEAM Excellent certification, and adds 13 loading bays and 6,000 pallet positions to the facility, increasing its capacity to 23,198 pallet positions.
“We are thrilled to be starting operations at our newly expanded facilities, as we can now further support the fresh produce sector and meet the increasing demands of our clients for storage, packing, ripening and all the other services we offer,” said Alex de Brujin, Managing Director of ADB.
A leader in the cold chain industry, AGRO Merchants Group owns and operates 55 facilities worldwide, including ADB Cool Company. With this expansion, AGRO Merchants Group’s fresh produce network in Rotterdam offers end-to-end services for the cold chain industry.
