Background Check Company First Advantage Chooses Holland for Data Center
The Atlanta-based company will support privacy compliance from Amsterdam data center
First Advantage, a global background check company, opened a new data center in Holland this week. The Atlanta-based company chose Amsterdam for its reputation as one of the most advanced IT markets in Europe.
“We listened to the needs of our clients, especially given their growing concerns over EU-regulated data privacy and compliance,” said Nick Grecco, First Advantage Chief Infrastructure Officer and Executive Vice President. “After considering a number of countries, our decision to locate our new data centre in the Netherlands was driven by its exceptional power infrastructure and business-friendly environment.”
Because First Advantage’s platform collects data on millions of job candidates, ensuring the security information is essential. The state-of-the-art Holland facility will enable First Advantage to meet the demand for its screening services. In addition, the company will maintain the safety of its data in compliance with new GDPR privacy regulations.
Dutch Leadership in Data Center Intelligence
Considered one of the most wired countries in the world, the Netherlands is home to a robust IT network. Holland is one of the most advanced European markets for data centers. In fact, nearly one third of all European data centers are located in the Amsterdam area.
The Netherlands’ leading internet exchange (AMS-IX) and fast connection speeds attract IT companies from around the world. The Netherlands’ highly-educated workforce and positive business climate have also enabled the country to become a global digital leader.
