Equinix Inc. Acquires Data Center Business in the Netherlands
The global interconnection and data center company expands its presence in Holland with the purchase of a data center business in Amsterdam
Equinix Inc., the global interconnection and data center company, is expanding its presence in the Netherlands. The U.S.-based company recently closed a transaction for the purchase of Switch Datacenters’ AMS1 data center business in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Equinix will benefit from the facility’s close proximity to its current operations in southeast Amsterdam and will rename the facility to Equinix AM11 International Business Exchange™ (IBX®) data center. With the facility, the company will meet the growing demand for digital infrastructure connectivity in European markets.
