Fluor Celebrates Grand Opening of New Amsterdam Office
New sustainable office will strengthen Fluor’s 50-year presence in the Netherlands
Fluor Corporation, a Texas-based global engineering and construction firm, celebrated the grand opening of its new office in Amsterdam today with hundreds of employees, clients and business associates. Having operated in the Netherlands for more than 50 years, Fluor recently moved from Haarlem to its new sustainable office building in the Beukenhorst-Zuid business park near Schiphol airport.
“Our Netherlands office has been a pivotal resource to Fluor clients since 1959 serving a range of local and international clients in the oil, gas and chemicals sector as well as infrastructure and industrial markets,” said David Seaton, chairman and chief executive officer of Fluor. “The Netherlands office has served as a benchmark for other Fluor offices with more than 40 nationalities represented among our professionals working on projects that are spanning the globe.”
Fluor’s Amsterdam office will continue to serve energy and chemicals, infrastructure and industrial markets in the Netherlands and throughout Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. Located in the most sustainable, full-service business park in the Netherlands, the new office offers the 800-plus employees and clients working there an attractive, interactive and productive work environment.
“We are very excited about the opportunity this new facility brings us to further strengthen our ability to serve clients in the Netherlands and grow Fluor’s business,” said Marc van Heyningen, vice president and general manager of Fluor’s Amsterdam operations. “The objective was to create an office experience where clients walk in and say, ‘This is where I want to do my project; this feels like business; this feels transparent, interactive and enjoyable.’”
