The largest privately held product distributor in the world continues its European expansion with a logistics office in the Netherlands
Geiger continues its European expansion with a new logistics office in the Netherlands. Geiger’s U.K.-based company, GeigerBTC, will occupy the facility which is located in Rotterdam.
Geiger will utilize the facility to support its global customers and streamline global shipping throughout Europe and the Middle East. Furthermore, Geiger selected the Netherlands for its strategic location and extensive distribution network.
Frank Murphy, managing director of GeigerBTC stated, “Having our own distribution center and office in Rotterdam enables us to further improve services to our many clients with operations in EMEA. This also protects us and our clients from any potential consequences of Brexit.”
Jo-an Lantz, President and CEO of Geiger, shared “Clients are demanding global services for their merchandising programs, with local marketing support. The ability to provide a global supply chain is critical and the new Rotterdam location supports our international strategy”.
Europe’s Leading Logistics Location
The Netherlands is a hotspot for logistics because of its central location, port access and robust infrastructure. As the largest privately held product distributor in the world, Geiger will take advantage of the Netherlands’ extensive distribution network. In fact, global companies like Uber and UPS have invested in the Netherlands as a leading logistics location. These companies, like Geiger, can also reach 170 million consumers within 24 hours of Amsterdam or Rotterdam.
