Gorman-Rupp Expands into Larger Netherlands Facility
The move includes more efficient access to the Port of Rotterdam
Ohio-based Gorman-Rupp has consolidated two operating facilities of its subsidiary, G-R Europe, into a new, larger single facility in Culemborg, southeast of Amsterdam. The company, a leading designer, manufacturer and international marketer of pumps for water, construction, agriculture, heating and more, will benefit from improved logistical capabilities through more efficient access to the Port of Rotterdam.
“We are pleased to re-position but retain Gorman-Rupp’s European base operations in the Netherlands to improve its operating and distribution efficiencies and customer service capabilities throughout its service areas,” said Mark Kreinbihl, President of Gorman-Rupp Pumps Group, on behalf of himself and John Peters, Managing Director of G-R Europe.
Gorman-Rupp’s expansion in the Netherlands is part of a $10 million European investment which also includes projects in Ireland and Belgium.
