Inalfa Roof Systems Group Officially Opens New Headquarters in Venray

Most important location factor being availability of knowledge

One of the world’s biggest providers of vehicle roof systems, Inalfa Roof Systems Group, officially opened its new global headquarters in Venray, the Netherlands, on Thursday 14 April 2016. The opening event was attended by some 1,100 guests, consisting of shareholders from Chinese state enterprise BHAP/BAIC, local and national government, the Embassy of China, customers, suppliers and all 800 employees working at Inalfa in Venray.

Mr. Maxime Verhagen, who served in various national Dutch governmental positions, as Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Economic Affairs, opened the ceremonies with a speech that emphasized the importance of the industry to the province of Limburg and the further strengthening of economic relations with China.

The opening ceremony included an impressive video-ballet telling the Inalfa story and was rounded off with a spectacular Chinese Lion Dance which is usually performed during the Chinese New Year and other Chinese traditional, cultural and religious festivals, and is believed to bring luck and good fortune to businesses.

Inalfa’s greenfield development was realized in a relatively short time frame thanks to intensive cooperation between officials from the Province of Limburg and the Limburg Development and Investment Company (LIOF), and also the Municipality of Venray. Alderman Jan Loonen stated: “Inalfa, for me, is synonymous with Venray. We have observed the company’s growth over the last decennia and are proud that Inalfa has now opened this impressive new facility. With its knowledge development, continuous innovations and high-value products, Inalfa symbolizes the future of our economy and, in this respect, is a shining example for companies, not only here in the region, but in the Netherlands as a whole.”
