Shipsy Expands its IT and Logistics Innovation in the Netherlands

India-based global software company creates AI-powered solutions for sustainable supply chains

Logistics Rotterdam

The India-based IT and logistics company Shipsy recently expanded to the Netherlands. The company chose Rotterdam as the best location for a globally operating logistics company in the EU. By joining the Netherlands’ robust ecosystems for smart logistics and innovative IT, Shipsy contributes to technological transitions and is able to better serve its European customers.

Shipsy has developed an AI-powered Smart Logistics Management Platform. The Software as a Service (SaaS) platform helps global business to optimize, automate, track and simplify end-to-end logistics and supply chain operations in critical areas like medicine and food. The platform optimizes fuel use, reducing emissions, thereby aligning with the Netherlands’ sustainability goals to reduce the global carbon footprint.

Innovation center for future-proof logistics solutions

Shipsy’s Rotterdam operations are initially focused on marketing and sales and the company plans to create a product development and innovation center to pursue future-proof logistics solutions.

In a press release, Shipsy stated: ‘The new center arrives at a transformative time in European logistics, marked by e-commerce booms, sustainability goals, and evolving regulations. Shipsy’s solutions are geared to address these challenges head-on.’

‘The Netherlands, a hub for technology innovation and logistics, was an obvious choice for Shipsy’s European expansion. With a dedicated local team, Shipsy aims to offer tailor-made and responsive support for its rapidly growing European customer base.’

Support from the Invest in Holland network

Shipsy was assisted in their location search by the collaborative efforts of the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency in India and The Hague and by the regional development agency Rotterdam Partners. These members of the Invest in Holland network offered tailored support by connecting Shipsy to local incubators, the innovation community, location options, and links with the local logistics and IT sector network.

Founded in 2015, Shipsy has 350 employees worldwide based in India, Dubai, Riyadh, Africa, Indonesia and the Netherlands, serving more than 250 customers around the globe.
