Trig Avionics Sets up in Amersfoort and Looks for New Talent in the Netherlands
Excellent rail and air connections reason for Trig Avionics to select Amersfoort
The excellent rail and air connections for both customers and employees were the deciding factors for Scottish company Trig Avionics in selecting Amersfoort as the place to open their second office. The company, who is a leading UK avionics manufacturer, announced in June plans to open a new European office in the Netherlands. The company is now searching for talented staff to become a part of Trig’s future success, across a variety of exciting job roles.
Based in Edinburgh, Trig makes surveillance, communication and navigation equipment used in light aircraft. Trig products are exported around the world and the company’s success is the reason a new facility is being created. New employment opportunities will become available in the town of Amersfoort, where Trig will be based.
New Office will enhance Trig Avionic’s service offer
CEO Andy Davis: “Europe is a key market and having a new base in the Netherlands will bring us closer to many of our regular customers. We know that dealers already recognize our first class customer support. Our new office will include a dedicated repair facility, and this will enhance our service offer.”
Lynn Reid, HR Manager at Trig said, “People with experience and skills in technology sales, logistics and avionics service and support should consider a career with Trig. As an international company we offer employees a stimulating and interesting working environment. Trig is a friendly and team spirited company where everyone’s contribution counts – this new venture is a particularly exciting opportunity to make a career in aviation.”
Working with NFIA and Invest Utrecht
Trig has worked closely with the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA) and regional partner Invest Utrecht in selecting Amersfoort as the new base. Fatma Koşer Kaya, alderwoman for Economics in Amersfoort: “I feel that the choice of Trig Avionics for Amersfoort is a wonderful result of the cooperation in our region. In future, this cooperation could very well be extended to other municipalities. If we work together, we will be able to maintain our position as one of the leading European regions. This standing is extremely important for the job market.”
