Turkish ICT firm Testinium establishes European office in the Netherlands
The global technology company chooses The Hague for international expansion
Testinium, a Turkey-based global ICT services company, has announced the opening of its new European office in The Hague. The opening of the branch reflects the company’s strategy to scale up its international expansion.
Testinium’s target market comprises midsize to enterprise European companies in the fields of finance, insurance and ecommerce and its goal is to develop software for their business or for their customers.
Testinium made the announcement during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. In a statement, it said the Netherlands was the obvious choice for the group’s mainland European office because of the business-friendly culture and the availability of skilled IT talent.
In addition to the strong Dutch ICT sector, the geographic location and attractive facilities and surroundings also affected the selection decision. Testinium: “The business ecosystem of The Hague has made a convincing impression on the company in terms of business value.”
“The Hague offered the best package for Testinium. The city has a very customer-oriented approach and a great team of professionals who were able to meet our requirements as a company wishing to set up in the Netherlands,” said Melih Sakarya, CEO of Testinium.
R&D centers next
From the new location in the Hague, Testinium plans to provide resources, tools and test development with dedicated, experienced teams. Starting with 20 ICT professionals, Testinium estimates the team will grow to 80 in the second year by tapping into local ICT talent.
Furthermore, Testinium’s holding company Saha BT, plans to move its R&D centers in Istanbul to The Hague in the future, the company says.
Collaboration between The Hague Business Agency and the NFIA
Testinium was supported in its business expansion by the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA) and The Hague Business Agency (THBA). THBA assisted Testinium throughout the process, from introducing it to relevant companies for incorporation and business development, to providing connections for finding rental space and suitable staff.
“We are proud that our Invest in Holland program led to these new foreign investments in to our country. As Ambassador I would like to officially welcome Testinium to the Netherlands”, said the Dutch Ambassador to Spain, Matthijs van Bonzel.
