UK-based Digital Design Firm Nomensa Opens in Amsterdam
“Amsterdam has quickly become a heavyweight in the global tech arena”
Nomensa’s new office on the Weesperstraat will support the company’s growing client base in the Dutch capital. This strategic UX (user experience) design agency has already been operating in Amsterdam for the past two years, working with international clients such as Liberty Global and Atradius. But increasing demand Nomensa decide to set up a formal base here.
“Over the past few years, Amsterdam has quickly become a heavyweight in the global tech arena, and is investing heavily in building and growing its digital community,” said Sally Lincoln, the managing director of Nomensa. “The city is rising quickly as a significant place to do digital business, and our new office will further help to solidify Amsterdam’s reputation as a growing digital hub.”
Expanding in Amsterdam
Nomensa is planning to expand its Amsterdam team to about 30 experts over the next two years. According to Sally Lincoln, “Having discovered more about the Dutch market over the last few years, we felt that it would be a great base to support organisations operating in the region.”
“Building strong relationships with businesses and people within the industry in Amsterdam has played a key role in our decision-making,” she said.
Established in the UK in 2001, Nomensa has more than doubled its staff over the past five years. Its 90-strong team, which combines experience in psychology, research, interaction design, and technology, also works with organisations such as Virgin Media, Ziggo, Cambridge University, P&G, and the NHS.
Amsterdam is a thriving tech hub, and is the most digitally-connected economy in the world. Very few cities can match the cross-border collaboration between the digital, creative, and marketing workforces that help Amsterdam maintain its leading international position as a design and technology hotspot.
