Axient Advances Aerospace Solutions in the Netherlands
The American company invests in partnerships in the Dutch aerospace ecosystem with its first international office in Delft
U.S.-based Axient has established a Dutch subsidiary, Axient Systems B.V., and opened its first international office in Delft. With expertise ranging from aerospace to cyberspace, the company will bring its advanced solutions to civilian and defense customers in the European market. The expansion marks an investment for Axient in the Dutch aerospace community, where it has already forged working relationships with FSO Instruments and TNO.
“The decision to open this office in Delft is the result of the partnerships we have developed over the past two years. This office allows us to work more closely with our partners to deliver innovative and purpose-driven technical solutions to our commercial and government customers,” said Jay Kovacs, Chief Innovation Officer for Axient and Managing Director for Axient Systems.
At a ceremony to celebrate the opening of Axient’s new office, Kovacs further noted, “We chose Delft as the home for our new subsidiary because it places us in the heart of innovation in the Netherlands aerospace community.”
Bridging U.S.-Dutch innovation in aerospace and high-tech
Axient’s existing partnerships in the Netherlands will enable the company to seamlessly spearhead innovation within the country and beyond. In 2022, Axient’s subsidiary Systems Engineering Group signed an agreement with Dutch research organization TNO to support NATO and joint areas of air and missile defense. In 2023, the company established a key partnership with FSO Instruments, a Dutch joint venture between Demcon and VDL Groep, to propel satellite laser communications development.
Axient helps its partners bring their technologies to market through its three main business areas: space systems engineering; critical asset security; and modeling, simulation and analysis. Positioned to connect with more potential partners in the collaborative Dutch high-tech ecosystem, the company is building a bridge between the aerospace communities of the U.S. and the Netherlands. Axient will also leverage the Netherlands to launch and strengthen customer, end-user and technology partnerships across Europe.
“We look forward to expanding our market presence in Europe and being able to meet more space and defense mission requirements across a larger customer base with this new office. We couldn’t be more excited to see what possibilities this opens up for Axient,” said Chief Executive Officer and President, Randy Cash.
