Delta Electronics Expands with New EMEA Headquarters in the Netherlands
The Taiwanese company announces a state-of-the-art, sustainable facility at Park 20|20 in Hoofddorp to fuel R&D and other operations for smart industrial and energy solutions
Delta, a global leader in power management and smart green solutions, has announced a key milestone in its expansion efforts across EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) with the planned construction of a new regional headquarters in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands. Located at Park 20|20 and expected for completion by 2026, the state-of-the-art facility marks a new phase for Delta’s presence in the Dutch energy and high-tech ecosystem. It will house more than 350 employees, pursuing research & development and other operations on an international scale.
In line with the Netherlands’ commitment to sustainability, Delta will implement its energy-saving solutions at the facility, targeting net-zero energy and BREEAM Outstanding green building certification. Once operational, Delta will use its new EMEA headquarters as a central hub for business across the region – driving innovation, supporting customers and reinforcing the company’s leadership in the industry.
“Delta’s new regional headquarters building demonstrates our strong commitment to the EMEA region and to Hoofddorp, a strategic location due to its proximity to key customers, partners and to the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, the unparalleled gateway to the European market,” said Dalip Sharma, President and General Manager of Delta Electronics EMEA.
The expansion received strong support at both regional and national levels, including the Invest in Holland network. Hilde van der Meer, Commissioner for the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA), stated, “We warmly welcome the expansion of Delta Electronics’ activities in the Netherlands and are grateful for the longstanding and strong relationship we have with the company as NFIA. Delta’s innovative technologies are a valuable addition to the developments taking place in the Netherlands. We look forward to further connecting them with key players in our innovation ecosystems, enabling them to make a significant contribution to R&D development in our country.”
Delta finds a match for smart sustainability in the Netherlands
Sustainability is at the core of Delta’s operations, as well as its new building design. The company helps customers around the world transition to smarter, energy-saving systems. This includes a diverse portfolio of solutions, including industrial automation, building automation, telecom power, EV charging, renewable energy and energy storage. The company’s goal is to nurture the development of smart manufacturing and sustainable cities.
That ethos flows into the new headquarters in Hoofddorp, with its target for net-zero energy consumption. Delta will cover the rooftop with more than 700 solar panels, expected to generate enough electricity annually to power the building. An energy-efficient architectural design, advanced climate ceiling system, access to Park 20|20’s central geothermal heat pump system and energy storage system are also included. Together, these features exemplify Delta’s commitment to the highest environmental standards – a commitment that finds common ground in the Netherlands.
“Delta’s dedication to energy efficiency and smart infrastructure not only enhances our local economy but also aligns with our vision for a sustainable future. We wish Delta Electronics every success in their journey ahead,” said Marianne Schuurmans, Mayor of the municipality of Haarlemmermeer.
Investing in talent and innovation
The availability of talent and innovation ecosystem in the Netherlands also proved vital to Delta’s decision to expand its Dutch footprint as the company looks to accelerate its R&D and global business. To that end, the new headquarters is designed to foster innovation and collaboration for Delta’s growing EMEA team, featuring 350 modern workspaces across five floors, laboratory space, advanced meeting facilities, areas for creativity and more.
As Sharma noted, “The Haarlemmermeer region offers access to a highly skilled, multilingual talent pool and a vibrant international business ecosystem, all of which are crucial for Delta’s long-term growth and diverse operations.”
