Kubota Opens New European Headquarters in the Netherlands
The Japanese agricultural and industrial machinery giant expands in the Dutch ecosystem to further accelerate innovation and sustainable growth
The Japanese company Kubota has officially opened its new European headquarters in Nieuw-Vennep, the Netherlands. The move marks a strategic step forward for the company, which has had a presence in the Netherlands since 2017. The new facility enhances Kubota’s ability to support operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). It reflects Kubota’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and sustainable growth in the region.
Kubota’s European business expanded rapidly in recent years, necessitating a new headquarters that can meet the demands of a dynamic and diverse EMEA market.
The company plans to increase local employment and expand its research and development capabilities in the Netherlands. These efforts support Kubota’s brand mission, “For Earth, For Life,” which expresses its dedication to enabling prosperous lives for people while protecting the environment.
Central European location will foster collaboration and innovation
Yasukazu Kamada, President of Kubota Holdings Europe, said: “This new headquarters represents a major step forward in creating a workspace that inspires creativity, collaboration, and success. It’s designed with our employees in mind, providing an environment where they can thrive, innovate, and grow together while being located at a central location in Europe.”
The new facility is designed to foster synergies between departments and across business units, creating a unified space that supports innovation and operational efficiency. It provides ample room for Kubota’s expanding team, reflecting the company’s ambition to increase its European footprint and advance its global R&D initiatives.
The new climate neutral office building will serve as Kubota’s European headquarters and a shared office for the Kverneland Group entities Nieuw-Vennep BV and Mechatronics BV. It reflects both organizations’ focus on supporting efficient collaboration and a modern working environment.
The Netherlands: a strategic choice
Kubota’s decision to locate its EMEA headquarters in the Netherlands underscores the country’s role as a hub for international business. The central location offers exceptional connectivity to key markets throughout Europe and beyond. In addition, the Netherlands’ multilingual talent pool, robust logistics infrastructure, and pro-business climate make it a preferred base for global companies seeking to grow in Europe.
Building on its longtime Dutch presence, successful collaborations with Wageningen University & Research, and earlier recognition through the 2021 Deshima Netherlands Award presented by NFIA, Kubota continues to increase its investment in the Dutch agrifood and high tech systems ecosystems.
Support from the Invest in Holland network
The Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA) and Invest in Holland Network worked closely with Kubota on this expansion project. With its new European base, Kubota is well-positioned to foster innovation and collaboration across borders. As Kubota looks to the future, its new EMEA headquarters reinforces the Netherlands’ role as a leading location for forward-thinking companies.
