Turing Europe Launches in The Hague to Reinforce Europe’s Digital Resilience
The Hague adds another partner to bolster a thriving Dutch cybersecurity ecosystem in the Netherlands
Turing Europe, the EU headquarters of the Taiwan-based global cybersecurity pioneer Turing Space, which specializes in eID and digital credentials, has launched operations in The Hague, the Netherlands. This move is focused on the accelerating demand for digital trust, self-sovereign identity (SSI), and cross-border verification frameworks which is crucial for today’s interconnected environment.
The launch coincides with the 2025 NATO Summit, also held The Hague, emphasizing Europe’s thorough commitment to strengthening data sovereignty, cyber resilience, and critical infrastructure protection.
Turing Europe delivers interoperable, secure, and privacy-centric credentialing solutions that empower public institutions and high-stakes sectors across the EU to verify identities, qualifications, and compliance in real time while maintaining transparency and embedding privacy-by-design principles. The company will further develop these solutions in the IT & Tech ecosystem to serve its European clients.
“As geopolitical tensions escalate and cyber threats evolve, European countries face mounting pressure to build interoperable and sovereign digital ecosystems,” said Jeff Hu, Founder and CEO of Turing Europe. “We are dedicated to closing these gaps by offering state-of-the-art, privacy-first identity solutions that enable seamless cross-border collaboration and foster mutual trust foundations critical to Europe’s security, economic resilience, and democratic integrity.
Supported by NFIA: A seamless landing in the Netherlands
This European expansion was supported by the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA) and the Invest in Holland network, guiding Turing Europe’s initial market scoping to supporting the company’s incorporation. The Netherlands’ standing as a digital innovation gateway combined with its advanced governance frameworks made The Hague the perfect hub for Turing Europe’s continental operations.
Hilde van der Meer, commissioner of the NFIA, said: “The Dutch ecosystem warmly embraces trust technology frontrunners like Turing Europe, whose mission aligns with our national priorities of resilience and digital innovation”.
Innovation to forge Europe’s trusted digital future
As NATO member states continue to elevate priorities around cybersecurity, digital identity, and defense preparedness, Turing Europe is well-placed to act as a critical enabler in this dynamic context. Its platform supports the secure issuance and instant authentication of academic credentials, personnel records, and transnational certifications, ensuring efficient, secure, and sovereign management of essential data flows.
A strong Dutch cybersecurity ecosystem
The addition of Turing Europe adds to a thriving Dutch cybersecurity ecosystem. The Netherlands is a digital gateway to Europe: home to superb digital infrastructure and a tech-savvy, multilingual workforce. As a leading global cybersecurity hub, The Hague is home to the Dutch National Cyber Security Centre and international security agencies like Europol and NATO. It is also where The Hague Security Delta (HSD), a national network of more than 300 public and private organizations, accelerates cybersecurity solutions.
The nation’s major role in cybersecurity and its exceptional collaborative nature flourishes due to its robust triple helix approach, bringing together government, industry and academia, and resulting in national cyber testbeds, national awareness programs and joined research and innovation programs. Collaboration is further bolstered by its multilingual, tech-savvy workforce. Leading schools like TU Delft, Leiden University, Eindhoven University of Technology and University of Twente provide cybersecurity-focused businesses with a steady pool of skilled talent trained in digital security applications.
