S2 Grupo Expands to the Netherlands
S2 Grupo brings its cybersecurity solutions to the Netherlands
S2 Grupo, a Spanish cybersecurity and critical information infrastructure protection company, has strengthened its presence in the Netherlands by opening their office in Rotterdam in April last year.
The announcement was made at the Netherlands Business Summit, where many high-profile attendees including King Willem-Alexander and King Felipe were present.
S2 Grupo provides managed security services to private and public organizations, including several governmental Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs), with its mission to help society and its stakeholders to mitigate the new technological and cyber risks.
The company’s establishment in the Netherlands is important given its provision of cybersecurity to public bodies, and in critical sectors such as water, energy, logistics, transport and healthcare. S2 Grupo is already working with clients in the Netherlands including critical infrastructure within multiple Dutch municipalities.
Public and private focus
The company’s work is distributed between private and public sector, with clients such as the United Nations and the Central Bank of Europe, and it regularly also cooperates with NGOs. Selected by the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity to contribute to the EU’s cyber policy, they also provide security services to critical infrastructure in four member states including the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, and Spain.
With their offices at Groot Handelsgebouw in Rotterdam, S2 Grupo frequently visits The Hague where they are part of Security Delta (HSD), the Dutch Security Cluster. Here, they share their knowledge and collaborate on innovative security solutions, which can be scaled within the Netherlands and internationally.
Adding to an innovative IT and tech ecosystem
S2 Grupo adds to the thriving IT and tech ecosystem that exists in the Netherlands. As Europe’s most wired country, the Netherlands is one the best countries for IT and tech companies. Due to its superb digital infrastructure, an innovative and entrepreneurial culture, the Dutch government’s strong tech strategy, and the tech-savvy and a multi-lingual Dutch workforce, technology and IT sector leaders consistently choose the Netherlands.
