Semicon Taiwan 2024

About the event

Semicon Taiwan is an annual event that serves as a major platform for the semiconductor industry in Taiwan and the broader Asia-Pacific region. SemiconTaiwan is part of the global SEMICON series of events organized by SEMI, a global industry association representing companies in the electronics manufacturing and design supply chain.

A global semicon ecosystem in the Netherlands

As the inventors of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, the Dutch have long been world leaders in semiconductor technology. The country is also an enabler of Moore’s law with a leading lithography industry that has been pushing the boundaries of this technology. In addition, the Netherlands has a long history in semiconductor manufacturing resulting into a diverse semiconductor ecosystem, home to many semiconductor companies active in every part of the value chain.

Dutch universities, knowledge institutes and companies are leaders in the field of innovation serving as a magnet for global business investments, groundbreaking research and talent. International companies like Gallium Semiconductor, Odyssey Technical Solutions and Mini-Circuits have already found a place to accelerate their business in the Dutch high-tech ecosystem.

A countrywide commitment

The National Agenda High Tech Systems and Materials is supported by:

  • 15+ Universities and Research and Technology Organizations, including TNO and Holst Centre
  • 100+ Companies, including ASML, NXP, BESI
  • 800 million public private partnerships annually for R&D&I
  • 2,5% R&D of National GDP

World-class R&D and talent

The Dutch technical universities attract students from all over the world. They offer research programs on Integrated Circuits design of Analog and Radio Frequency circuits, Photonics, Quantum technology and other front-end technologies. Focus is on characterizing, fabrication and modelling of semiconductor devices.

Next to the universities there are knowledge institutes like TNO, CITC and HOLST running innovative programs in close collaboration with the industry on development of the semiconductor technology or the required semiconductor equipment for future applications.

Let’s make impact together!
