Quantiphi Expands European Presence with Office in the Netherlands
Award-winning AI-first digital engineering company expands to Amsterdam with eyes set on the future
U.S. and India based Quantiphi will open a new service delivery, marketing, and sales center in Amsterdam this year. The office will facilitate Quantiphi’s goal of growing their presence in the European market to bring their AI, data and cloud solutions and services to customers.
Discussions about the company’s expansion in Europe began in Q3 2020 and by the end of 2020, Quantiphi finalized Amsterdam as the location for their next European office because of the city’s growing reputation as an emerging center for technology and innovation. The Netherlands also boasts world-leading industry clusters that offer a conducive environment for research and development. During Quantiphi’s next phase of growth, the company plans to start hiring engineers and, based on the progress, future plans could include R&D activities.
“Given the city’s rapid development and transformation with the focus on technology, innovation and sustainability efforts, Amsterdam came out as a top choice for us,” said Asif Hasan, Co-Founder of Quantiphi.
Access to key markets and talent
When Quantiphi began looking for their next European location, they quickly realized that the Netherlands’ and Amsterdam’s strategic location provided them with access to major economies like France, Germany and the U.K. within a day’s reach.
“Amsterdam also boasts of an impressive digital infrastructure and is home to the world’s latest data-transport hub (AMS-IX) as well as world-leading data experts,” said Asif Hasan. “The city is not just one of Europe’s leading tech-hubs, it’s also a great location in terms of accessibility to a wide and brilliant talent pool. Over the past decade and a half, I have seen the city evolve into a vibrant technology ecosystem that fosters talent, creativity and innovation.”
In the coming months Quantiphi looks forward to attracting and hiring the highly skilled talent that the city offers.
Getting connected with business partners
With such a big investment, it was important for Quantiphi to connect with relevant business partners, vendors and resources to help make timely business decisions.
“The Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA) has been of great help right from the start of our engagement with them – their support has been crucial in helping us start our operations in Amsterdam,” said Asif Hasan. “NFIA helped us with the right information at the right time. Local and offshore points of contact were both available. NFIA assisted us in streamlining every step in the process of establishing our business in Amsterdam.”
